Wish you were here? Marketing the dream of coastal living

Ahhh, to be here shortly after the sun sets, hanging out with friends. Maybe you ARE here (the Crystal Coast of North Carolina). In that case, I'm hugely jealous. This summer I wrote the website and accompanying video for the Ocean Bluff development,  www.oceanbluffnc.com. The site was designed by Springer Studios. Check it out! And save me a cold one.

The northerners are "tawking" about north Carolina

​Compass Pointe, outside Wilmington, NC, targets residents of the Northeast for resort-style retirement living in the temperate climate of the North Carolina coast. This year I've been helping Springer Studios with web writing and video production. I've written targeted landing pages for the world of CompassPointeNC.com, and also wrote a series of videos featuring retirees from Northern VA, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey who've made the move to Compass Pointe. In addition to writing the scripts I conducted the on-camera interviews:

A direct mail piece I wrote for Compass Pointe has outperformed all the previous pieces. Nothing seems to be as powerful a motivator as real testimonials from other Northerners who've made the move themselves:

engineering every detail... new site for withersravenel

​This summer I had the pleasure of writing a new site for WithersRavenel, a leading civil and environmental engineering firm in Raleigh. They were celebrating becoming employee-owned! A pretty big deal. Site was designed by my friends Mike Rosado of MRCreative Shop, developed by Matt Harrell and the gang at Five Points Solutions.
